About Chad

Dr Chia-Yen (Chad) Chiu is a Senior Lecturer (Advanced Assistant Professor) at the University of South Australia (UniSA) Business School and a member of the Centre for Workplace Excellence (CWeX).

Dr Chiu holds a PhD in Management from the University at Buffalo, the State University of New York, a Masters of Business Administration from the National Sun Yat-sen University, and a Bachelor of Science in Statistics from the National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan. Before joining UniSA, Chad was a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the Center for Leadership and Organizational Effectiveness (CLOE), University at Buffalo.

Dr. Chiu’s research interests include team leadership, social network theories, and social influence. Chad has published in multiple top peer-reviewed journals in the academic field of organization research, such as Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Management Studies, and Leadership Quarterly. He currently serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of Organizational Behavior and Human Relations

He teaches various courses related to people management in organizations, including Human Resource Management, Organisational Behaviour, Organisational Leadership, and Business Research Method.
